A big part of the expenses for small businesses that accept credit card payment are the processing fees.  Take note that merchant account providers charge a fee for every transaction that you make.  However, there are ways that you can do to save yourself form unnecessary fees from your credit card transactions.  Consider these suggestions:

Avoid customer charge-backs.  A charge back is when a credit card holder calls the issuer to ask for a refund of the payments made or to cancel out the order.  The reason why a customer may request for a charge back is if they have complaints about the order or if the purchase was made without the cardholder’s consent.

Merchant account providers can charge anywhere from $25 to $50 for these transactions.  A small business can end up losing the sales it supposedly made because of charge backs.  So how can you avoid them?

Internet Technology has dramatically changed the business industry and there is no doubt about it.  The barrier of distance is now just a thing of the past.  Today, local and international marketing has become a simple process.

In fact, the opportunity is not only open for larger firms or corporations.  Even small businesses and home businesses can reach out to a wider range of market through e-commerce.

Joining the Ecommerce Industry

What does it take to join the Ecommerce industry?  If you are running a small business, all you need to do is apply for a merchant account so you can start accepting credit card payments online.

Banks, credit card companies and some financial firms offer merchant account services for entrepreneurs.  Some merchant account providers handle credit card transactions on their own while other providers hire a third-party credit card processing company.

When searching for financing resources, one viable option for businesses is getting a business cash advance. If you’re not familiar with a business cash advance, this article should be useful for you. Let us first define what a business cash advance is. Building Business Credit with Business Cash Advance

What is a business cash advance? This type funding assistance is also called credit card account receivables factoring or credit card financing. It means being able to take out a cash advance using your credit card receivables as a guarantee or payment. Obviously, this type of financing option is open for businesses that have already been in the market for at least a year. When not done correctly, it is possible to get into problems or conflicts when obtaining commercial real estate leases. Some landlords may include some contract provisions that solely work for their own benefit. As a tenant, you’ll save yourself a lot of trouble in the future if you can ensure that all provisions in the contract are fair right from the beginning.

Check out the following unfair provisions that may be included in your office lease agreement and be sure to talk them out with your landlord before signing up your office space lease contract:

  • You are required to pay increased charges for costs such as building repairs, insurance premium, property taxes, operating costs and other building expenses.
  • The landlord has the authority to terminate your lease contract without any valid reason.
  • The contract includes disclaimer statements about the building and the services rendered to the tenants.
  • Enforces unreasonable restrictions on a tenant’s rights on the leased space.
